My name is Mathias and I’m the COO and Co-Founder of Lattice exchange as well as Constellation Network.
We have been working quite hard the last 3 years to deploy an infrastrcuture that scales — and now, with Lattice we are launching our flagship project that runs on the DAG Hypergraph infrastructure (one of the only few mainnets in the world and totally decentralized)

[8:06:59 AM]Ben Jorgensen:admin
Lattice is the evolution of existing DeFi solutions by providing the best price and profitability for protocol users. It enables smart routing for trades and the ability to aggregate liquidity pools and incorporate multiple Automated Market Making (AMM) algorithms on Constellation’s scalable Network.
Lattice is the financial application — the first — built on Constellation’s protocol. It combines the best in DeFi but on a scalable infrastructure protocol enabling near zero transaction fees and more sophisticated trading AMMs to bridge traditional securities markets with crypto assets.

1. how does lattice scale without having a bottleneck when conversion to Eth happens

Absolutely! It is a great product — very easy to use

We did an analysis of systemic risks in the DiFi ecosystem and concluded that there is quite some systemic risk for traders due to the non-scalability of Eth. With the B dollars of assets in that ecosystem a block-based network that adjusts fees upwards is a tremendous risk for anyone who locks their funds in such a network when there are network congestion times and black swan events in the market.
As such we took the opportunity to leverage a scalable low fee and instant settlement infrastructure and combine it with best in class features to showcase a solution that surpasses current solutions in the DeFi space.
We want traders to be safer and ultimately have a better experience using Lattice

another benefit of Uniswap ofc is using the Ethereum SC, which are pretty known and many work with them, how will lattice work? since it’s based on new tech?
[8:11:34 AM]Ben Jorgensen:admin

Lattice scales from a technical and economic perspective. Essentially, Lattice allows traders and businesses to scale economically in that there will be trade volume incentives that bring transactions settlement fees to near zero. We can do that because Constellation’s Hypergraph network is fee-less.
The other way we scale is that the Constellation protocol uses a reputation based consensus that is randomized and built to optimize a graph based database (DAG) that is equipped to handle a lot of data (or transactions). FAST, CHEAP, and SECURE.

Well, Constellation will be cross-chain compatible starting with DAG and ETH. Our vision all along was to make it seamlessly cross-chain compatible (something we built into our protocol a year ago). We believe that various side chains should be aggregated and interoperable. You need a scalable infrastructure to support this dynamic relationship. In Q1 2021 we will introduce cross chain compatibility between two major infrastructures.

when you enter the cross-chain ecosystem there are multiple options now depending on how people use it:
The first is you enter through erc20 into the DAG side of equation you stake un-stake trade and swap all within the DAG side which makes it faster and less fees. Then once all your actions are done the sum results gets relayed into an Eth block.
The second aspect are wrapped tokens on DAG that we haven’t talked about yet much. But essentially one can wrap the erc20 and others on the DAG side as well to take advantage of the DAG features.
We are also coming out with a DAG based token standard akin to erc20.

Yes — we ultimately want to be the one stop shop ecosystem play where you don’t have to band aid and bridge multiple chains and multiple solutions.
However, if you want to create multiple chain solutions and connections (like a Zapier capability) you certainly can — and pull the best of each chain, capability, and ecosystem (maybe that is liquidity)

That is correct. But it’s all about adoption. We showcase how a cutting edge infrastructure is can be used while tapping into massive existing ecosystems. The interoperability of blockchains has been a topic for a while and while many of them have limitations they have their specific use cases and user bases that we want to connect through Lattice and the Hypergraph.
[8:20:59 AM]Ben Jorgensen:admin
> tehMoonwaLkeR

Think of it like centralized exchanges and how they work with cross-flows. If a centralized order book can’t fill all of the orders, they route trades to a DEX (for example) to fill the market order instantly. Constellation | Lattice will be the default routing mechanism because we are faster and cheaper.
[8:21:33 AM]Mateo Gold:admin

yup. that’s the idea. Cross-chain pools.
I think we are one of the first to tackle that area effectively.

We have been looking at multiple solutions in the DeFi space and are open to strategic partnerships.
We also see it as a sign of a customer need of there are multiple solutions that are being developed. Like we have different smart phone manufacturers that caters to specific fan bases — there are multiple companies working on DeFi solutions.

Firstly, in the v1 pools will work on erc20 like we are used to. The difference is that we also allow for weighted pools and multi asset pools. We have our own pools and we aggregate existing pools leveraging the liquidity through smart routing — which ensures that a trader gets the best price at the lowest slippage

sounds amazing, but can you expand “ weighted pools and multi asset pools” in simpler terms?
[8:27:34 AM]Ben Jorgensen:admin
> tehMoonwaLkeR
> let’s talk tokens DAG LTX ? both will play a role i assume?
Absolutely. LTX will be launched shortly and will be an ERC-20 token. Our aim is to play nice with the Ethereum ecosystem and grab some of the market as well as the liquidity.
Early 2021 we will introduce DAG staking (deposits and withdrawals) and will be the cross-chain solution between DAG and ETH. User staking DAG will earn LTX as a reward and that will give them the ability to participate in governance.
Think of this like having a passport (DAG) but still need to register in each country and state (and play by their rules).
[8:28:14 AM]Mateo Gold:admin
> tehMoonwaLkeR
> sounds amazing, but can you expand “ weighted pools and multi asset pools” in simpler terms?
yes ofc. Multi asset pools = pools that have more than two assets. Imagine a pool that contains 33% Eth, 33%, BTC, 33% DAG
Weighted pools are pools that are not split 50/50 like on Uniswap but for example 70 Eth/30 DAG

the function of LTX is as a pool rewards for erc20 and cross-chain pools. essentially giving DAG holders more opportunities.
[8:32:45 AM]Ben Jorgensen:admin
> Bew
> does $LTX play a role in the pools, like is LTX bonded to each asset in the pools ?
LTX is a governance token. It will allow participants to orchestrate the Lattice ecosystem and provide insight into how it operates (this will come in a myriad of ways). People that stake DAG will be able to earn these tokens. We are working on a rather evolved tokenomics that weaves LTX and DAG rather nicely (and something that hasn’t done and will ensure a balanced ecosystem).
One thing that our experience in Constellation will pay off will be in orchestrating true governance. We have been successful in deploying governance on the protocol level with Constellation (with various facets of governance including incorporating individuals and activating a community to participate). Not many DeFi projects truly understand decentralized governance. This is where we shine.

Thanks Barry! The biggest thing that we can ask of the community right now is to start spreading the word. When we introduce our MVP in the next 30 to 60 days we will want our loyal communities to use the product and evangelize it. Providing feedback and improving the product will be essential and we will be listening.

We haven’t divulged many yet. However, I will say that we have really activated many asian communities in Lattice. It is rather exciting as we bridge the fundamentals of a protocol with communities that can move the needle with mass adoption.

Governance in multiple ways — I can’t divulge everything we are planning — but I will say it will be more than just agree on certain coins. One thing that we are exploring is how to use governance in the reputation based consensus model we have built and giving more control to users that participate in the network.

I focus on the next year is to not only provide cross-chain compatibility but to bridge the $30T traditional securities markets with crypto and decentralized governance.
