Constellation’s Stellar Project Was One Step For Man, Lattice Is A Giant Leap For Mankind
“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Neil Armstrong
As the utilization of blockchain technology has increased, the intrinsic problem of scalability has become more pronounced. Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency platform, has recognized this major issue and has sought to redress it with Ethereum 2.0. This upgraded version of Ethereum will employ sharding to solve the scalability problem. Theoretically, the throughput will be increased exponentially (though not without limit).
Whether sharding is a viable solution for Ethereum remains to be seen. However, from a critical standpoint, it may be akin to building an edifice on shaky ground. Data availability and data validity are two major problems with sharding that have never found satisfactory answers. It is naive to consider Ethereum’s answer to scalability an optimal solution.
Were we to give Ethereum the benefit of the doubt and assume 2.0 will satisfactorily address the issue of scalability with sharding (as pollyanna as this may be) still, we must admit that it is not the best solution.
The reason is simple, the architecture of the Constellation Network eclipses even the solutions proposed by the tentative Ethereum 2.0.
Constellation cuts Blockchain’s Gordian Knot
The Constellation Network was built from the ground up with an entirely new technological foundation that allows for something previous blockchain technologies can never deliver — limitless scalability, coupled with true decentralization and security. With all other blockchain platforms there will always be a trade-off and one aspect will be privileged to the detriment of the rest. However, with Constellation employing an entirely different infrastructure, none of these facets needs to suffer.
The vision of Constellation is to create a world with an increasingly scalable, interconnected, and interoperable network of nodes. Every new device to join the network (even a mobile phone) is endowed with the status of a new node, adding increased transaction speed to the entire network.
The realistic nature of this vision is clear when we consider the manifest success of this network in practice. Even in its most nascent stage, in early 2018, Constellation already had 10 times Ethereum’s throughput, even with a modest 1,200 nodes.
Constellation, in order to solve the scalability problem in blockchain, turned to the most high-tech industry standards for modelling distributed systems and solving these issues. By implementing complex mathematical models from algebraic topology, Constellation naturally puts itself on par with Google, Facebook, and the entire ecosystem of the internet.
Rather than employing traditional blockchain technology, Constellation operates with a Directed Acyclic Graph protocol, which allows it to build a network that is essentially dynamically partitioned, and capable of creating as many partitions as it needs.
The speed by which transactions take place on Constellation is limited only by the speed by which consensus takes place. In the case of the Constellation Network, that would be no more than a few seconds. The reason being, Constellation uses a highly efficient and secure approach to consensus known as ExtendedTrustChain.
ETC consists of multiple node types with specific roles in the network. The form of consensus that Constellation employs is akin to an ideal organic community. Take the method of delegate selection, its inherent advantage is that it is conferred upon nodes who act benevolently — thus placing a premium on good behavior rather than wealth or computing power. Hence, a sensible improvement on the consensus models of such platforms as Ethereum and Bitcoin. The other obvious implication is the greater degree of actual decentralization of the network.
After a brief survey of the two platforms, it is clear that the utility and potential of Constellation stands head and shoulders above Ethereum. The only real advantage Ethereum has is its current market cap. The older platform was undoubtedly innovative in its employment of smart contracts, which paved the way to the emergence of nascent Decentralized Finance.
Yet as the reader can surmise, the Ethereum Network falls short of truly giving DeFi a vigorous existence. What can one do to somehow tap the 11 billion dollar market predominately bogged down in Ethereum while also utilizing the preeminent Constellation Network to actualize the true and transformative potential of Decentralized Finance?
Enter Lattice Exchange
Lattice will initially launch as an ERC-20 Exchange on the Ethereum Platform. However, unlike Uniswap and other exchanges already on the platform, Lattice will employ smart routing, aggregate liquidity, and use advanced Automated Market Makers to ensure higher quality trading with less slippage.
After this has been enacted, the second build-out phase will take place. In this phase the interoperability of Constellation will be employed to connect the Ethereum ecosystem with the Constellation Hypergraph Transfer Protocol. The HGTP is the only secure communications protocol that is capable of connecting not only existing blockchains from disparate networks yet also real-world applications.
In the third build-out phase, Lattice Exchange will be re-routed to the Constellation Network. In this phase, all of the intrinsic advantages of Constellation will be brought to bear upon the exchange. This includes the near-zero transaction fees, which until the advent of Constellation and Lattice, have remained as elusive and chimerical as the Philosopher’s Stone.
Lattice has set itself up to be the solution to DeFi, and it has all the underpinnings necessary to compete with (and even surpass) the most technologically sophisticated among the traditional securities markets. The advancements that Lattice Exchange is predicated upon represent the best and most useful among technological innovations. One can not resist the temptation to envision a future of financial transactions heavily reliant on Lattice Exchange and the Constellation Network.
Yet this is no mere dream — the more awareness spreads of the innate benefits of using the Exchange and the network for one’s financial needs, the swifter the exodus will be from the platforms that can not efficiently handle exponential growth. Lattice will stand as a light to investors and traders in Decentralized Finance, who so far have stood in the uncertain shadow of sedate transaction speeds, as well as slippage, inadequate decentralization, and questionable security.
Join Lattice In Redefining Freedom
Lattice is a DeFi application built with Ethereum and Constellation’s Hypergraph Transfer Protocol (HGTP). Empowering users using advanced AMM algorithms.
